Just got home from a small framing job at a house in Bradley Maine. The owner is doing a total rehab on the house and I built a drop ceiling in the first floor bathroom. Then built a wall for a closet.

It's been a while since I have posted. Yesterday I was talking with a church friend and he told me about someone he knows who is currently doing a total house rehab. I got the guys phone number. I called him and went out yesterday afternoon to meet with him and look at what work he will be needing help with. I will be going next Tuesday morning to start the first project of building a wall in a bathroom and then a drop ceiling in the same room. Pictures will be coming on Tuesday when I get there.
This house has so much work to be done. One of the roofs has been tarped and one of the main sill beams supporting the house has had so much water damage the beam is like non existing. That is a very serious job that might be out of my expertise level. I'll access it more and get pictures and many thoughts before I even attempt this project.

Finally got the steps done for my church friend Doreen Moody. The steps are not attached to the deck so that when the frost moves them they won't be ripped off the deck. Also they are light enough that they can be tipped back so that someone can do ground work and relevel the steps with little work.

These are entry steps that I'm building for a church friend, Doreen Moody at her log home in Eddington. It was such a nasty cold windy day which slowed me down, so I will be going back to finish the handrails and do some more ground work to make a better base for the steps to set on.

Just checked out a possible job. This is for a friend from church, she has a log home in Orrington near Brewer Lake. She doesn't like the concrete steps and they move from frost. I'll be building steps that will move with the frost by adding hinges so the steps will move with the frost.

I finished putting up this new fence. The homeowners were very happy that I got it done in one day.

This is the camp in Lakeview that I finished up the bedroom today. Everything got sanded nicely and then 1 coat of polyurethane. My friend Scott Hoyle who is the care taker for this camp said that he will come back and lightly sand everything and put on the second coat of polyurethane. The third picture piece of oak that I made into a transition between the old and new floors.

This is at the camp in Lakeview that I've been working on doing finish work in. All the floating floor is down. The bigger closet has a shelf on three walls and a hanging rod below the shelf. All the baseboards and doors are on. Next I'll come back to get it all sanded and put a coat of polyurethane and that should finish this job.

All the floating floor is down and most of the trim and baseboard. Tomorrow will finish the baseboards in the bedroom and install the 2 closet doors. Then putting closet rods in both closets and also some shelves.
I had to put in quite a bit of extra time fixing some of the finish work that a chainsaw carpenter tried to do before.
