Recent project we finished. Historic cottage needing a finished loft space. Windows sit east to West. To help with natural light in the space we created a light tunnel bridge and then brought the pine from the wall to the points in the ceiling shown. Challenging, considering the date of the building.

So many projects since our last post. Currently on an awesome cottage renovation up near Bar Harbor. Wrapping this project up with full pine walls to ceiling vaults on all four sides, paint the floor, and wrap up with a high-end railing system around the opening down to the kitchen.

Ai visualization helps me sell the concepts I envision. I was able to create an uplifting experience for the Summer guests who will experience sitting on these decks. That wraps up a great island home series of projects. I’m starting the cottage interior build out near Bar Harbor tomorrow.

60 grit to this distressed Redwood Cedar deck. Structure was there, but the deck boards have lost a lot of their rigidity. 3 pound hammer knocking in screws and nails resting above grade.

Went with an oil modified topcoat to harden the exterior and fill a lot of the cracks. Not bad going into the season and something we can work on again in the Fall.

The reveal is in the last image. Latasil is a high grade siliconized corner fill. Translucent and ideal to support stone sinks. Old corners out, deep clean the stone, seal, dry, tape boundaries, apply corner sealer and run the bead before pulling the tape.
