Update: one of our fine Copley officers confronted the individual and got us the compensation for the produce they took. We will continue the closure and thank all of the honest people for their support.
Here’s the scoop.
Bad apples are spoiling it for everyone. We’re going to wrap the season early this year and decide whether or not to whether or not to continue our produce stand at a later date. I can no longer allow thieves and dishonest people on our property, and more importantly, around my children. We have been serving Copley for more than 60 years with trees, shrubs, and produce. This decision is hard and definitely hurts me deeply.
I sincerely appreciate all of the support this year and highly recommend you continue to support our friends and vendors Easy Crumb, Easy Dough, Funky Buns Sourdough Co, Zachry Farms, Jacobs Heritage Farm, Murphy hay farm, Dunkler's Farm Market. 1350 Collier Rd, Seiberling Farm, Norton Farmers Market and Barberton Farmers Market.
We are going to have maybe a few more days of produce, but when it’s gone, we’re done.
And if anyone is interested in a possible $5000 reward, please share any info you have on this guy with the Copley Police. He drives a black Lexus suv and likes to take things that aren’t his. Thankfully we have a clear shot of his plate.
Thank you again,
Carl Harp
