Standing in the shop while doing some rather mindless work of planing some boards and it dawns on me how long I've been working in my "new" shop and I will be in here eight years before I know it. Guess it's not so new anymore but it seems like yesterday that I was building it. Then I realized that this past January completed my 20th year in business! Sometimes being self employed gets to me (maybe more so as I get older) but I usually realize rather quickly that it's a pretty good deal. It has served my family well all these years. That said, 20 years of business doesn't happen without many good customers, many who are repeat customers, doing my advertising for me. I've NEVER run an ad or put up a sign promoting my business. I've never needed to thanks to all of you. With everything going on to close out 2024, I guess the milestone was forgotten. I guess I'll keep going for a while yet. Maybe slow down a little? 🤔 Maybe. Lol Thank you also to my wife and kids who have put up with my late work nights and many, many, many trips to Home Depot or Lowe's and thanks for putting up with me when I'm tired and/or cranky. Usually both! In summary, I am truly blessed. Thanks be to God for giving me my abilities and the energy to make people's homes more enjoyable. Many of my customers are more than just customers. Many of you have become my friends and I'm grateful for your hospitality and support over the years. Perhaps a little celebration will be in order when the 25th anniversary rolls around! Thanks everyone!
