Well, this year we faced a new challenge and Eric says “challenge accepted!” We’ve been lucky the last few years to have the deer stay out of our field, but now they have caught on and know where to go for their meals!! There is not much you can do to keep deer out of the fields, so we decided to work up not one, not two but three more fields to get them ready for planting next year! We plan to plant more pumpkins to help offset those losses!

So thankful this morning for rain finally! We have been trying to water the pumpkins the best we can, but we don’t have a full irrigation system so it’s a lot of labor moving one sprinkler.

ONE MONTH!!!! We open in one month! Who’s excited?!? Ground work is complete for the new building coming this fall! The kids had to test out the sand of course! Did a quick drive through the patch tonight and lots of orange were showing through! We can’t wait!
