Meet “Old Dunlaps.” 💻 That’s what we call our old computer and old system.

She’s not fancy. She’s not fast. She occasionally thinks really hard before opening a file. But she’s been faithfully holding our records from July 2008 through June 2020 for a very long time.

Every year she gets a little slower. Every year we wonder if today is the day she decides she’s officially retired.

One day she may not turn on. And that’s the day we will simply let her go.

When that day comes, our searchable records may only go back to July 2020 and forward. That day isn’t today… but we can see it somewhere out on the horizon.

So if you’re thinking:
“Hey, can you tell me what door I bought 15-ish years ago?”
or
“Do you know what color siding I ordered in 2011?”

…our time to look that information up exactly as purchased may not be unlimited.

If there’s old project information you think you may want someday, now may not be a bad time to gather it while Old Dunlaps is still clocking in.

Please be patient with us when the day eventually comes. She’s given us a good run. ❤️

We’ve got a goofy little goal… and we need your help. 😎

Before we celebrate Year 6 of ownership, we’d LOVE to hit Invoice # 50,000 at Dunlap Supply.

Fifty. Thousand. Invoices. 🤯

That means 50,000 orders, projects, repairs, new homes, old homes, “while I’m here…” purchases, contractor runs, emergency screws, one board turns into twenty boards, and all the little things that keep a small-town lumberyard rolling.

We’re close… and we think we can do it in the next 2–3 weeks.
