Phillip and Lee Ann joined AIA Baton Rouge for a Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge build day, rolling up their sleeves to help install siding. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside fellow architects and give back to the community we call home. It’s a great reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together to build stronger neighborhoods and make a lasting difference for local families.

Help us welcome Timilehin Ogunsola to the Kern Architects team!

Timi earned his Bachelor of Architecture in Nigeria and his Master of Architecture from Iowa State University.

We’re excited to have Timi join us as an architectural intern and look forward to all he’ll bring to the team!

Last week our team stepped away from the day-to-day for an office retreat reflecting on how far we've come, refining our goals, and shaping the direction of Kern Architects.

It was a great opportunity to share fresh perspectives, think big, and build momentum for what's ahead. It's an exciting time at Kern Architects, and we're looking forward to all that's to come!

A big thank you to Keri Rueschen with C12 for guiding our conversations, keeping us on track, and helping make the day so productive!

Please join us in congratulating Lindsy Stewart on her induction into the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge! We're proud to see Lindsy getting involved and giving back to the community we call home. We look forward to seeing the connections she'll make and the positive impact she'll have through this exciting opportunity. Congratulations, Lindsy!

An exciting project is taking shape at LSU!

Kern Architects is proud to be working with the Louisiana Pest Management Association (LPMA) on the expansion of the Lois Caffery Termite Training Center.

The expansion will create new indoor and outdoor hands-on learning environments, including simulated pest control scenarios, specialized landscaping, and a training pond—all designed to support real-world education for pest management professionals across Louisiana.

LPMA recently shared the vision for the facility at their fundraising gala, and we enjoyed seeing the excitement and support surrounding the project.

We’re grateful to be part of bringing LPMA’s vision to life and look forward to seeing this project take shape!

Architecture runs in the family!

Phillip’s kids put their creativity to work at AIA Baton Rouge's Building Blocks. We loved seeing the next generation of designers and builders get in on the fun!
