We’re turning over the dirt and getting the ground ready for a prosperous growing season. The work has begun, and we’re looking forward to a great harvest ahead!

While awaiting our okra harvest, we grew a variety of other vegetables.

The day's beautiful weather created a perfect backdrop for the Creole Rendezvous event at Heymann Park. The sounds of Lil Nathan & The Zydeco Big Timers kept everyone dancing on the green. We were pleased to connect with Milton and Dawn, founders of Creole Culture, and appreciated their conversation and unique merchandise. On a personal note, I’m loving my hoodie outfit.🤩

Preserving the harvest! Pickled okra! A zesty twist on a garden favorite!

What a nice day to get out and savor fresh vegetables and produce from local farmers. Even had good conversation with Chef Celeste Bistro while witnessing her cook up a nice skillet of okra, sweet potatoes, and fresh sausage, all available for purchase at market. It was flavorful and delicious! We were also surprisingly welcomed by our cousin Meckell! Awesome time!
