Sand Bags

Remember y’all it is not the strength of the storm cat 1 that you need be concerned with it is what side of the storm we fall on! It looks like we will fall on the east side which is not where we want to be. You can expect Maurpas to have storm surge this in turn could cause water to drain off much slower. If you see rising water at a rapid pace get to higher ground!

Hurricane Preparedness

- make sure you have all your important paperwork in a safe place
- prepare now tomorrow is to late
- if you got 2 feet of water in your home in 2016 sand bags may save your home
- make sure you have a gallon of water per person it is hot outside with indexes in the triple digits
- Pets make sure you have food and water for your pets as well, take them with you after all they part of your family to
- if you get trapped by water you can call me or text me at 225-931-7446 and I will get the information to people to come get you by boat
- make sure if you text leave address name and city I will make sure you get rescued
- Stay calm and be a good neighbor if you know there are elderly people that live near you make sure they are ok to.
- This is where we shine in Louisiana when hard times hit we pull together and help each other!
