Hello to all my Brookside greenhouses of Urbandale, customers and friends I had to cover our sign today because people did not know that we were closed and we will stay closed for the foreseeable future. Susie Cope passed away in January and we will no longer be running the greenhouse business I’m sorry for any inconvenience that this will cause but it’s just the way it is so here’s a picture of the sign now that it’s been covered thank you for all your years of support and love of gardening. Keep on growing. Will miss you all.  Frank W Cope Jr.

If Susie has ever touched your heart or filled your garden please support her family by sharing and contributing if you can to her Go Fund Me. She is such a giver through Brookside Greenhouses, Girl Scouts, and pouring endless love and support into her friends, family, and community. Brookside has brought undeniable joy and beauty to Battle Creek and beyond which is exactly why she did it. Her family has struggled to process the events of the past week and the waives of grief have been overwhelming to say the least. Brookside will not be opening for the 2024 season. The unexpected loss of income will have a significant impact on her family along with medical bills and funeral expenses. Every donation is very much appreciated. Hug your loved ones for us. Susie is everything at Brookside Greenhouses. With the heaviest of hearts on January 14th she was taken off life support machines and medicines. She is holding on longer than anyone expected, her heart is so strong. She loves Frank, all her kids, family, and friends so fiercely. She gave her all to them and Brookside. Her memory will live on forever.

Brookside will not open for the 2024 season and we know this will have a huge impact on both the family and community. Please support her family by giving and sharing if you can.
