[RED SPIDER CLONE: A FUTURE WRITTEN IN GENETICS]
Some Anthuriums are beautiful enough to collect.
Others make you think about everything they could create.
Meet our Red Spider Clone.
One of the most exciting mother plants in the Exotics In ADHD breeding program, and one we’re especially looking forward to working with.
Deep, velvety green foliage that borders on black. Beautifully defined silver venation. And that unmistakable burst of fiery red-orange coloration radiating from the sinus.
It’s the kind of contrast that immediately gets your attention.
But what excites us most isn’t just the foliage you’re looking at today.
It’s the genetic possibilities waiting in the next generation. 🧬
As breeders, we’re constantly looking beyond the individual plant. We’re thinking about which characteristics we want to preserve, which traits we want to enhance, and what might happen when we introduce entirely different genetics.
With Red Spider, we’re especially interested in exploring:
-Dark, velvety foliage
-Contrasting venation
-Red pigmentation around the sinus
- Leaf shape, structure, and texture
Of course, breeding is never as simple as combining two beautiful plants and expecting the best of both. That’s what makes every new cross, every seedling, and every emerging leaf so fascinating.
And we have some MORE exciting breeding projects planned for this one.
We’ll be documenting the journey—from pollination and seed development to the next generation of Exotics In ADHD hybrids.
Now here’s a question for the Anthurium breeders and collectors… 👀
If you had our Red Spider Clone in your breeding collection, what would you cross it with?
We’re curious to see what combinations everyone comes up with. Drop your dream cross below! 👇
