This week, we had the honor of participating in Architecture Week’s K-12 School Engagement — and it was nothing short of unforgettable. 🏛️✨
We visited the 11th & 12th graders at Savannah Early College High School, where we led a presentation and design charrette centered around adaptive reuse — using Starland Dairy as the canvas.
We shared Nate & Maggie Fuller’s story and vision for the space, the history of the Starland District, and its impact on Savannah’s arts scene on Bull Street. Then we handed it over to the students — and they delivered. 🙌
Their ideas were thoughtful, community-driven, and showed a deep understanding of programming, budget, and flexible use. Watching the next generation get excited about the power of architecture — and the importance of reimagining old buildings rather than tearing them down — reminded us exactly why we do this work.
To our industry colleagues and partners: we encourage you to pour into the community of tomorrow. Their potential is truly endless.
Thank you, SECH, for having us. We’ll be carrying this one with us for a long time. 🤍
