TREE CARE BEYOND THE CUT — WEEK 3 | POST 2
Not Every Tree Problem Can Be Seen From the Ground
One of the biggest mistakes homeowners can make is assuming a tree is safe simply because it looks healthy from the ground.
Some of the most serious structural problems can occur high in the canopy or at major branch unions.
Look for warning signs such as:
• Large dead or hanging limbs
• Cracks where major limbs meet the trunk
• Multiple stems competing for the same space
• Excessive weight on one side of the canopy
• Decay or cavities
• Broken or damaged branches
• Recent storm damage
These conditions don't automatically mean a tree needs to be removed—but they do deserve attention.
A professional tree assessment isn't just about what needs to be cut. It's about understanding the tree's structure, identifying potential hazards, and determining the safest course of action.
Because responsible tree care goes beyond the cut.
