We’ve been (poorly) keeping a secret.
This fall, Cord + Iron will be moving to 600 Third Street - the longtime home of The Hostess Gift Shoppe.
For the majority of the The Hostess Gift Shoppe’s more than 50 years in business, Keith and Stephanie built something special there. They created a business rooted in community, relationships, and showing up for the people of Beaver. Those are values we deeply admire, and we’re honored to carry that spirit forward into the next chapter for this space.
We’ll remain open at our current location while we prepare the new space, with plans to open this October.
The move will give us room to bring in even more of the things you already love, including an expanded book department, more apparel, more gifts, more events, and more reasons to stop by and discover something new.
Before we look ahead, we hope you’ll help celebrate an incredible local business. The Hostess Gift Shoppe’s retirement sale begins June 9, and we encourage you to stop in, find a treasure, and wish Keith and Stephanie well as they begin a well-earned retirement.
Independent businesses are part of what makes Beaver special. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue that tradition and excited to share what’s next.
