Shock, anger, sadness, denial…repeat. Those are the emotions we have felt the last 2 days. As you all know, Painted Tree shut down permanently Tuesday morning. They have filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and all 62 stores closed immediately. We were given no warning. No chance to try and recoup money spent on inventory. Only a few days to get our merchandise and displays out before the doors were locked for good. We’ve paid our rent every month, on time. We did everything we were supposed to do. We will never receive payment for sales made this month. But we’re going to be ok. We aren’t going away. Our plan was to launch our online store this year. Looks like that will happen sooner than later. For now we will be posting merch for sale here so be on the lookout for it! Lots of great deals coming your way. For our loyal customers over the years, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. You made our dreams come true with this small business. We’ve built it with blood, sweat, tears and a lot of love! For our new followers, welcome. Please let us know if you are looking for something in particular and we will help you out the best we can.
