Doug found the need to develop a honest and trustworthy trucking and asphalt company. Barnes Paving began with 1 crew of three staff members and has quickly grown to two crews with 22 staff members and 5 trucks, so no job is too big or too small. We run a background check and conduct random drug-screens on all of our employees. At Barnes Paving, safety is one of our biggest concerns.

And to even have to make another post about another good one gone too soon... some definitely hit harder and quicker .. our brother-in-law John Watkins and 20+ year employee of Barnes Paving lost his very short battle with cancer today March 16, 2026. We lost John's brother Chet just a little over a year ago and John's wife, Doug's sister, Jane, in October 2022. Please give them a hug from all of us and rest in peace, until we meet again ❤️
