Flies bugging you? Make a natural fly paper out of either corn syrup and sugar or castor oil, honey or molasses! Just cut 4 or 5 long strips of a brown paper bag about 2 inches wide and mix 1/4 cup corn syrup with 1/2 cup sugar and coat the paper strips with a knife. hang and place a bowl underneath each to catch any drips. Variation: substitute 3 tabelspoons honey or molasses with 1 tablespoon non-synthetic castor oil. SHOO FLY, SHOO!!!!

Glass shower door tip! Those glass shower doors can be difficult to clean soap scum off of, it builds up over time making it more difficult to clean with basic glass cleaning methods, but there is a simple natural solution - mix equal parts of Borax with castille soap and 5 drops of tea tree oil to make a paste and apply the paste with a damp cloth (we prefer to use micro-fiber cloths). Let the paste sit for 10 minutes, then spray with vinegar and gently scrub then rinse off until clear. Your glass shower door can look as good as new. If you have extensive soap scum build-up, you may repeat the process until all clean. For daily care, make a simple spray of vinegar and water (we use a 2 parts vinegar to 1 part water ratio) and add 15 drops of tea tree oil. Use this as a daily spray with a squegee on your shower doors, walls and anywhere in your shower to prevent soap scum build-up and mold or mildew growth. It doesn't require rinsing.
