The $59 tune-up isn't a tune-up.
You've seen the ads. $59. $69. $89. "We'll get your system ready for summer." They sound great. They're cheap. They're a trap.
Here's what actually happens. A technician spends 40 minutes at your house:
❌He hoses off the coil, cleans the drain
❌Checks freon levels and the run capacitor
❌He changes your filter.
❌He tells you everything "looks good" — or he tells you your system is old or out of warranty, and you need a new one.
Either way, nothing was tested. Nothing was measured. Nothing was verified against what your equipment is supposed to be doing.
These ads exist for one reason: to get a technician through your door so the company can sell you a new system. We've seen them condemn perfectly good 4 and 5-year-old units. We've seen them install replacements that are oversized for the home, leaving the homeowner with worse humidity and higher bills than before.
The $59 visit was never about the tune-up. It was about the upsell.
✅A real performance check takes about 3 hours.
✅We measure your system against the manufacturer's published specifications — every performance point, top to bottom.
✅If your system is running the way it's supposed to, we tell you and you stop worrying about it for the year.
✅If something is off, we tell you exactly what's off, by how much, and what it's costing you in comfort, bills, and equipment lifespan.
✅No vague warnings.
✅No replacement pitch.
Customer Review:
I hired George, owner of Florida HVAC Services, to do a leak test on the air ducts in my new house. George and his team did a great job…running a battery of tests and quickly fixing a few trouble spots. As a new homeowner, I was grateful for the time he took to teach me about my new-to-me HVAC system and how it all worked together…typical components, ducting, and special challenges for my particular house. No upselling, just practical ideas for the system that I got with the house. A lot of HVAC contractors are single focused, compressor broken…must replace. George is more holistic in his approach, pairing the right hardware with the existing framework of the house you have. I will definitely call him before any HVAC upgrade or replacement! He and his team are just plain nice people too. ~ Eric D.
If you're tired of cheap tune-ups that turn into expensive sales pitches, this is the visit you've been looking for.
