Peppers are always one of our favorites to grow. So grateful to have a row of peppers to enjoy this year. These are the most interesting this year. I believe they are Mora Quinto and we got them from in the -thank you!! They are spicy, but the citrus flavors are so interesting! I'm hoping to make a hot sauce out of these ❤️.

Our new home has been a blessing and a delight. We have established Chestnut trees and the chestnuts have started to open up! There are many other established perennials.

With a new home, without an established garden, there are also challenges. We are currently experiencing the damage from deer. I have spread out some human hair to try to help. Luckily they've left almost all of our food crops alone, but they're enjoying the sunflower buffet.

We've never been able to grow bush squash with much success before this year. We've had success with tromboncino in the past, but this year we grew patty pan, zucchini, and yellow squash!

Our plants are going to die soon from powdery mildew. That's ok, I put 36 cups of shredded zucchini in the freezer today. They've been productive and the frost will kill them soon anyway.

I think we've had success because we did a later planting, because we didn't have a prepared garden space after moving. Every year brings new experiences and I'm grateful for the lessons we've learned this year ❤️.

So many lovey surprises this spring at our new home.
