WE HAVE A GOOD AMOUNT OF THEIR FEMS AND AUTOS!!! Posted • For over 15 years Purple City Genetics has been focused on putting the best plants in the hands of farmers. The Oakland scene we draw our creativity from has always been a mix of up north farmers and warehouse cultivators. We pumped blue dream when indoor fetched over 4k at market, and outdoor still went for over 3k. When the price went in the 3’s we put out a lot of green crack so farmers could harvest in under 8 weeks and have a heavy yield. How loud is your turkey bag has always been a thing, and our selection of what to put on the menu has always been guided by terps. When Obama came into office in 2008 the lawyers and dispensaries said go ahead and brand if you want. At that same time prices started going around 2k for outdoor and indoor still in mid 3s for good purps and og/sour but a new cultivar came that changed the game- cookies. Guys who had good cuts were back getting over 4 and despite the sh*tty yield, even outdoor guys started growing it and flipping it as ins. The market became flooded with “exotics” but as prices have continued to fall the last few years we’ve been again focusing on yield and flower time. Everything corporate seems focused on THC% so we spend a lot of time breeding for fresh frozen and water hash so we can stay chasing terps and not just 30% varieties and photo worthy cultivars. 15 years since we made our first logo, and 20 since we started cutting clones for medical patients, and we’re still refining our practice. We’ve added more science and scientists to the team, we’ve been able to work on some huge farms with broad acre populations for breeding and pheno hunting, and we continue to build with our worldwide network a diversity that celebrates this plant and not just a snap shot of what’s popular at any given moment. We’re a tight team whose been together a long time, and it’s the efforts of all of us together that make PCG.
