Thanks to everyone who came out to the Fairgrounds on Sunday to watch our Austin County Youth compete in the first event of the County Fair!
A special "Thanks" for Sheila Jamar for taking all of the wonderful pictures, and to Susan McKay and Joyce Marik for helping to hand out a little extra bonus to all of those who competed in this event. As the garden club of Bellville, we are always so excited to see so many of our wonderful youth participating in this competition.
If you missed the competition on Sunday, not to worry! When you attend the County Fair starting in the next few days, please be sure to check out all of these unique containers that will be placed throughout the fairgrounds during the fair. They aren't just there to 'decorate', they are there in recognition of all the hard work that students put in to designing each one. So take a moment to enjoy them when you see them.

This is a fantastic way to kick off the first event of the Austin County Fair AND to support our Hard Working Youth! That is what it's all really about, supporting the Youth of this Wonderful Youth of Austin County ~~~

OK Everyone! There is still plenty of time to get in on the excitement and fun at the Trough Competition at the Austin County Fairgrounds! This is so exciting for our youth and everyone watching! Who will get the Blue Ribbon? Well..... the awards will be announced around 2pm, so you'd better have a little lunch and head on over!

Thanks to Sheila Jamar for taking such wonderful pictures. These are only a very few, if you want to see more, you need to head on over!!! Lots of eye-candy to take in. Hope to see you there!

Looking for something to do on Sunday, September 28th? Well look no more.

Did you know that the first event that kicks off the Austin County Fair will be happening at the Fairgrounds Pavilion.

It's the Mini-Scape Trough Competition is from 9:00am to 11:00am, with a break for lunch, then Awards are at 2:00pm.

There is no entry fee and plenty of free parking.

There are bleachers to sit on if you will be staying some of the time or the entire time. Also, please feel free to bring water or a snack for yourself, if needed.

You will not be disappointed seeing what these kid's can create! Definitely worth watching not only to see how creative they are but to see the excitement on their faces as the competition moves forward. Something that you really don't want to miss! If you get a chance, be sure to come join in the fun and excitement! You will be glad you did!
