Monday night I was outside with a headlamp at 10 harvesting dahlias. We were supposed to get a hard freeze, but were spared! We unexpectedly got one later in the week. Although it’s always sad to see the season end, I’m so thankful I have all these last beautiful blooms to enjoy, and share! This growing season was busy for sure, but I learned so much. With the addition of our 5th child in September, I decided to take a step back from most other crops and focus on dahlias. Soon I’ll be digging tubers, and plan to have my tuber sale in spring. Keep following for sale updates if you’d like to grow some of these beauties for yourself!
