We brought new life and function to the kitchen and bathroom while letting the home’s iconic blue cabinetry and mid-century charm shine.

This home has personality, color, pattern, and a whole lot of fun. ✨

The goal was simple: say goodbye to builder grade and create a home that feels uniquely her.

We opened up the hallway with a custom railing and wood beam, completely reimagined the fireplace with black accents and wood paneling, refreshed the cabinetry with paint, and layered in artwork, color, and pattern throughout.

The powder room brings the playful “ah-ha!” moment, while the primary bathroom became the masterpiece, pairing existing cabinetry and flooring with a statement handmade-tile backsplash.

Every room was designed to feel cohesive, but never too serious.

Because a home should have personality. And this one definitely does. 🎨

Let’s talk kitchen essentials. ✨

When remodeling a kitchen we get one chance to get it right with the function and flow. Everyone gathers in the kitchen, so let’s nail it!

1. Hidden appliances: we spent all this time designing the kitchen with wooden tones, paint, hardware and tile and now we’re gonna season it with all these bulky metal and black appliances?! Nah ah! Let’s hide those puppies.

2. Cabinet drawers. No more reaching in the back of a shelf. Pull it out and have access to all your items.

3. Spice drawer. Same concept as above. So much food is wasted because it’s out of sight, out of mind. Drawers give us instant overview to all of your options. No more digging, reaching, knocking over the vanilla extract on the way to the cumin!

4. Hand sink/second sink. Need a quick veggie rinse? Someone is washing dishes but you need to wash your hands? Second sink for the win. Bonus is adding a hot water dispense for your evening tea 🍵.

Happy Friday! Sharing some of my favorite details from my own home, a very special project to me! 😍

We had a LOT of work to do when we bought our home and fully gutted most of it. But, corner by corner it’s come together and I truly couldn’t be happier with it.

We were going for a Japandi home that brings natural light and warm wood tones and woven textures into balance. I’ll forever recommend hiring forma_builders_bend! Couldn’t have done this without them!

A moment for the tile!🥁

M a r wanted pattern and texture so we layered tile and combined it with functionality (hello toddler and doggie wash!). This home has a perfect dash of personality, livable for kiddos but still designed with intention😍
