Can you name whatβs on a carβs 20+ point inspection?
Brakes, tires, oil. Then it gets fuzzy. π
But we trust it because a trained professional's inspection catches the small stuff before it becomes a big problem on the side of the road.
A heating tune-up works the same way. Hereβs what a professional looks at, and why it matters:
π₯Blower motor: moves the warm air through your home. A worn one works hard and wears out sooner.
π₯Heat exchanger: where the heat is made. Cracks here are a safety issue and hard to spot to the untrained eye.
π₯Burners and gas pressure: uneven burning wastes fuel and strains the whole system.
π₯Exhaust path: keeps fumes OUT of the house.
π₯Electrical connections: loose ones can shut your heat down right when you need it.
π₯Carbon monoxide and gas leaks: carbon monoxide has no smell, so testing is the only way to know.
π₯Airflow and filter: a blocked one makes your heating system work harder for less warmth
Most of it is out of sight, which is how small problems turn into cold night emergencies. October is the time to catch them early and prepare your system for the colder months ahead.
Which one did you NOT know about? π
