The nursery’s focus on native plants and habitat for everything from birds to bugs makes the nursery a great place for nests of all kinds. Here’s a one minute time lapse video of a female praying mantis making an egg case - called an “ootheca” that can hold 50 to 200 eggs in a single case. We recorded the mantis for 1 hour and 38 minutes and condensed it to one minute for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
