Oregon Landscape Contractor's License # 9646 Horticultural consulting, small scale design, installation and maintenance for residential and commercial clients. We specialize in perennials, native plants, wildlife gardens, specific color combinations, fragrance gardens, easy care/low maintenance, xeriscaping (l
ow water use) and year-round interest gardens. I pride myself on implementing "best practice" techniques for maintenance, division, plant choice, placement/design, and installation. Need advice or instruction? I love to provide one-time or ongoing garden consultation and/or coaching visits to identify plants and teach you the art of fine gardening: deadheading for prolonged bloom, plant division, pruning, and other garden tasks. Learn to do it right! I also offer custom garden maintenance calendars. We provide FINE GARDENING services, not typical "mow & blow" maintenance. What is"fine gardening"? Educated, skilled labor that is horticulturally-based with attention to detail. We practice the ART + SCIENCE of gardening: offering personalized service, implementing Best Practice techniques for plant health, maximizing bloom season, skilled plant choice, placement and design, installation, quality maintenance, pruning, and more. I grew up gardening and earned a Master's degree in Horticulture from Penn State specializing in native plants (I authored the Native Plant chapter for the award-winning Penn State Extension Master Gardener Manual: https://extension.psu.edu/master-gardener-manual) and have presented to Master Gardeners and garden clubs in PA, VA, NC. I'm also committed to continuing education and well-versed in Central Oregon native plants (took COCC course by Rick Martinson of Winter Creek Nursery and independent study for the past 14 years).
