Repairing and refinishing your wooden treasures are important to me. Southern Illinois (Little Egypt) has a history of providing to those in need. In the 1830's residents from northern illinois came to the southern part of the
state in search of grain. Weather conditions during these years led to a severe
reduction in northern counties hartvest. The rich resources of southern illinois
provided
in a way similar to that of the stories revealed in Genesis 41:57 and
42:1-3. Southern illinois towns have been given the names of Egyptian, Thebes,
Dongola, Palastine, Lebanon, Sparta, New Athens, Karnack, and Cairo. Also found are the river valleys with rich fertile soils and the Shawnee Forest. Multiple rivers transverse this land, the Mississippi, Ohio, Wabash, and Big Muddy. Resources from local forests provide Little Egypt with wood species used in the
making of furniture.
