In the spirit of transparency...
First, THANK YOU to all of my customers for your patience as I've had to slow baking down quite a bit these past several months, and for continuing to support my small business. It means more than you know!
Outside of Homemade by Holly, I wear a lot of different hats, some of those including wife, mom, teacher, and Junior Auxiliary member. The last six months have been some of the busiest of my life, and I’ve found myself juggling more responsibilities than I ever intended. Because of that, I’ve had to limit deliveries to Downtown Market, turn down baking events, miss the start of Summer market season, and pass on new markets I would have loved to join.
As a teacher I’ve been working toward my National Board Certification, and honestly, the process has consumed much of my time and energy. I’m used to staying up late baking, but lately those late nights have been spent working on my certification instead! I just made it through one of the first submission windows and will complete another component next week. I still have one more component to complete this Fall, but I'm praying the pace won’t be quite as intense as it has been this Spring.
As if things weren’t busy enough, my oven decided to completely quit this past week! Tech support wasn’t exactly “supportive” so we have someone coming Monday to hopefully get it back up and running!
I know some of you have been wondering where I’ve been, and I probably should have made this post before now.
I’m still here and I’m looking forward to being more present and available again, especially once my oven is back in business!
Love,
Holly
