Happy 41st anniversary to my closet business!!!

People asked me how did you get into this business

I was in the food merchandising business, and watching a show that Regis Philbin hosted on what was a cable health network. His guest was Neil Balter, the owner of California closets.

The closets they installed were over $1000. I thought there was so many people couldn’t afford a closet for $1000 and I thought there’s got to be a way to reach all the masses to be organized.

Along with advertising in the local newspapers, I invested in the yellow pages, but most of all approaching construction sites with a clipboard asking to bid.

Timing was right. Condo developments were on the rise and few women in construction.

So I want to thank so many builders that gave me the opportunity to work on their projects and pass my name along.

It’s pretty simple-respect everyone’s time, money and respecting their home - pay your staff well and they will take care of your clients. Obviously Yellow Pages are a thing of the past but word of mouth is long lasting🙏 thank you all
