Banner Day Interiors

Banner Day Interiors Banner Day provides interior design services to both institutional and residential clients. Let your home be an enjoyable haven from the outside world.

We use up much of our focus on career and family, and it is often our homes that become neglected. After a long day at work, you deserve to return to a home that is more than just a roof over your head. Beyond brightening the general atmosphere, investing in your home environment can also increase your productivity both inside and outside the house. Whether your issues include small space problem

solving, a guest room turned nursery, or a neglected corner, we will evaluate your design needs and help you devise creative solutions to elevate your home beyond a place where you hold your belongings to a place for true rest and enjoyment.

This custom channel tufted headboard is giving that extra layer in this room - and perfect soft back support for reading 📚 in bed. 🤗 I also love that shades of red are making a comeback this year.

Neo-traditional is such a funny term but what has often used to describe some of our projects. This 1916 Henry Gutterson is a testimony to how great design is timeless. We just brought in our penchant for color that harmonizes well with the traditional architectural bones. As seen in our book, Storied Homes.

The clients showed me the original cost of build for this house. 🤯 Let’s just say it was less than the cost of this photo shoot. 🙃

Cheers! My book, Storied Homes, is out in the universe today! Absolutely surreal. Around a three year endeavor, I never thought that when I would make the switch from attorney to designer 10 years ago that a book would be in the realm of possibility.

Thank you so much to the clients who both participated in the book as well as clients who just hired me - especially in the early years. Thank you to for believing in my work and publishing this! Thanks to for al the beautiful photos which really distinguishes this book from its peers. Thanks to J. Po***ck for help with the words. And big thanks to for always being my biggest advocate outside of .

If you haven’t already, please go purchase. Link in my profile. The marketing endeavor is small yet mighty and I personally would appreciate any support!

Banner Day is firmly in its cabin era. And as my stories relay, I couldn’t be more excited. Sometimes projects come to us in batches and that’s what’s happened in the last few months. We’re starting this group of three at the same time. It’s going to be fun to see how they deviate and how they overlap. I don’t usually do before photos, but thought this would be fun.

1 - Mill Valley architecturally stunning home. Clear the “bones of a home” don’t get better than this. You literally gasp when you walk into this space.

2 - Sea Ranch Millennial. Built in the mid 80’s it needs a face lift and a jolt of warmth. With the most romantic front seat ocean views, I am going to make sure the interior of the home is just as stellar

3 - Sea Ranch Turnbull. One of the last homes he designed. On the bluff with panoramic ocean views. We’re touching just the main space. Primary objective is to make the kitchen more functional.

4 - A before photo of my own home as an homage and of course wanted to give Morgan some love. ❤️

I gave this bathroom considerable amount of thought in terms of design. The original redwood paneling was missing in this space. And to keep it visually consistent as a whole, especially since the 11’ walls were visible from the exterior, a wall treatment LIKE the redwood paneling had to be applied.

This stunning wallpaper with tiny patches of hand sewn green squares was the Eureka 💡 moment. As seen on .

Salone Clara stays out until 2 am when she normally watches sunsets from her bed at home.

She eats white carbs with abandon and like she has the metabolism of a 23 year old.

She turns her extroversion up to maximum power when a night in front of the TV with Sammy is her favorite activity.

Looking forward to going home. But absolutely brimming with new design ideas. This is an R&D trip as summed it up. And it’s been fantastic. Feel incredibly lucky and looking forward to implementing what I’ve learned here and start incorporating into projects.

Frenetic may be the word of the week as I prep for a work trip and try to tie up loose ends. 😳

Still on a high from our feature last week of this beautiful home. The saturated colors throughout really hit the mark for me. ❤️💪✨ For this powder room, the arch relief detail was existing. And we decided to keep it as a feature, making this powder room even more special.

These rooms belong in the same house! 👀

A historical home in Berkeley, the house has many of the original charming details. The prior owner was an architect that decided to add on. As a “bridge” to the new addition, he created this space. When the sun is overhead, the rays light the prisms overhead to create this light show effect. 😱😱 We designed this space to ensure it felt cohesive with the rest of the home. And I’m glad the clients were game for this warm red paint.

The dining room we dipped in green. Perhaps it was overreaction to another recent project where green wasn’t allowed in the house. 😜 Regardless, this room came out beautifully. ❤️
