The James Farm Ecological Preserve campus, Ocean View, DE. It was a pleasure to work with the wonderful people at the DE Center for the Inland Bays on this campus that they will use for environmental education and maintenance. Hopefully these buildings will help the DCIB facilitate their mission and influence many lives. The buildings are designed to be ecologically friendly, relying on natural lighting and cooling, and using local, sustainable materials. The pictures are by Danny Bostwick who captured the spirit of the buildings beautifully.

Last week, the James Farm Ecological Preserve Education Campus in Ocean View, Delaware, officially opened its doors with a celebratory ribbon cutting. This 5,693-square-foot facility features upgraded trail systems, a habitat restoration staging area, and a new three-season environmental education building designed to inspire learning and stewardship. We’re proud of our Salisbury team for successfully delivering another project that supports our mission of enhancing and enriching the communities we serve.

Pleased to be a part of this wonderful environmental education project...

Last Friday, we officially cut the ribbon on the new Education Campus at the James Farm Ecological Preserve!

This major upgrade includes the Susan K. Ball environmental education building, outdoor classroom seating, habitat and restoration staging area, and a maintenance building. All of these features are designed to enhance environmental learning and public access to this special place.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, including Sussex County, Del., government, David D. Quillin Architecture, and Bancroft Construction. Come explore what’s new at the Preserve!
