To fix the problem meant removing the shower pan and thus involved most of the tiles. We were so grateful to be introduced to Ken and Steve who, being a Design-Build firm are in total control guiding us and advising us on every aspect of the project. We also spoke with General Contractors but this left us with many decisions we felt inadequate to make. We have total confidence in everything they are doing from helping us find the right tiles and bathroom fixtures to negotiating with suppliers and contractors. We transformed a once-plain vaulted space into a room full of warmth and character by re-imagining its design and maximizing its potential. By reclaiming and repurposing original circa-1755 beams from another part of the house, we infused the space with authentic history while giving it new life.

As anyone knows, when you are starting a huge project such as a kitchen, the careful selection of a design firm is essential. They need to have vision, creativity, upscale design sense, with a little panache thrown in. Equally important is to understand our creative "limits", and staying on budget, without losing the drama and sense of space we wanted.
