The 2013 Stevie® Awards for Women in Business received more than 1,200 entries worldwide from virtually every industry, representing 18 nations and territories. A woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Marnie distinguishes herself by building one-of-a-kind beach homes with economically and environmentally sustainable products. Her most notable projects include the “All-American House,” constructed of 95 percent domestic building materials, and “Eco Beach,” Delaware’s first LEED-certified home. In 2012, Oursler created the “We Build American” campaign with building materials supplier 84 Lumber. As a national spokesperson, she advocates for the use of more American-made products to increase domestic jobs and better our nation’s economy.
