Your home has potential!

Under the builder grade finishes, and years of DIY "repairs", held 2 spaces that this family needed help with.

The mission was simple:

▶️ give their new daughter a more usable, elegant bathroom
▶️ remove the drop ceiling and gross carpet in the ceiling, and replace with durable flooring, fresh walls and ceilings, and a custom, built in storage cabinet for the TV
▶️ reconfugure the basement laundry room to give more room for storage, and brighten the space up

We love the opportunity to help families rethink their homes and tailor them to how they live day to day

These clients had a big request for their kitchen renovation: "NO FRUIT BOWL ON THE COUNTER!"

Thanks to the talented design team and our amazing custom cabinet company, this family now has the perfect storage solution: custom alder drawers, with metal grates on the bottom of the drawers, instead of closed wood.

This allows your produce to breathe, and ripen naturally with air flow, rather than get all brown and gross in the bottom of your refrigerator. This is great for onions, apples, bananas, cucumbers, loaves of bread... anything, really!

Our award winning team can solve any unique issue that your family is facing in your kitchen - we still have plenty of openings for 2026, and would love to have a conversation about your remodel.

Lets face it - no one likes moving!

Searching for a new house, dealing with realtors, bidding wars, packing and unpacking... it's one of life's biggest pains!

Laurie and Devin decided that they would rather stay put in their east Pittsburgh home.

We added over 550 square feet to this home, across 2 floors.

Now this home has an additional bedroom and bathroom, and Mom has a home office tucked away that is all hers!

The best part? This addition looks like it was built with the original home. The brick and roof lines match perfectly, executed by true artisans, the way new structures should be built - with the AKN stamp of approval.

This is who brings your dreams to life

We are in the people business at AKN Interiors. Yes, the product and result of that are one of a kind, life changing remodeling projects... but, at the end of the day, what we do for a living is very intimate, and very important.

This is the team that builds the island that you make Christmas cookies with yours kids... that builds your parents their own in-law suite in the back of your home... or even, builds you an oasis inside of your home that is the one place in the whole wide world that you get some peace and quiet.

We are grateful for the chance to be busy, and the ability to take time to see each other, all in the same room, as possible.

And a company meeting wouldn't be complete without passing the Field Champion belt off to its newest winner - congratulations to Jon!

Say hello to 2 new faces!

We recently added 2 more A players to our team

Brian is our newest craftsman. He joins us after running his own buisness for the previous 5 years. He is an expert carpenter, and we are excited to have him assist us remodel more clients homes in Pittsburgh! He grew up near our office, and still lives in the area with his wife and 4 kids.

Hannah is our office administrator. She is the glue that holds our company together. If you call our office, chances are she is the first person you will speak with. Hannah is also a real estate agent, and she has remodeled 2 of her own homes herself! She also is a south hills girl, who lives with her fiance, and her beloved family of 4 legged friends.

Do you know someone in our industry who loves the trades, but needs a better opportunity? We would love to speak with them.
