This week we're installing the white oak treads at the spiral staircase project. In previous videos, we showed John in his workshop making the subfloor, then the actual treads, and now it's all ready to be installed. We'll be back with some pictures and a final video once we're all finished.

We're back with an update on one of our more recent projects. The subfloor pieces from our last video are set and now John has moved onto making the white oak treads for the spiral staircase project. The process involved cutting two pieces and affixing them together which John goes over in today's video.

This week John shows what goes into creating the subfloor for the spiral staircase project that we've featured in some of our most recent videos. There are a few more steps than usual due to the custom design, but once the subfloor is in place then we'll move onto installing the actual treads which will be a rift and quarter sawn white oak.

Today we have an update on the spiral staircase project that we introduced in our previous videos. The steel framing is almost complete and then we will begin laying down the treads. John goes over the specs of the treads along with showing the framing. We look forward to sharing some updates as our work progresses.

As a big snowstorm is headed our way, John is spending the weekend in his personal shop at his house working on an upcoming project. This project is for the treads on the circular staircase that we showed in our last video. The treads will be rift and quartered white oak that are bookmatched so they will have a seamless look once they are in place. Stay safe and warm and we'll be back with an update of this project in a few days!

Today we have an update from our most recent Bethany Beach project. In the last video, John showed our team putting down the first planks of herringbone flooring and now the herringbone in this part of the house is all in place. We'll have an update or two over the next couple days so please stay tuned!

Our Bethany Beach project is in full swing this week. It's a picture perfect day on the coast and John shows us some of the first planks of herringbone flooring being installed in today's video. We'll be back with some updates after the holiday. Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

We're back at one of our latest projects in DC that we introduced earlier this month. The house dates back to the 1700s and our team is putting down half inch cork as an acoustic sound barrier and then we're installing solid 3/4" 8 inch wide reclaimed rustic white oak that will serve as the primary flooring. John takes us through the details of the work we've done so far in today's video.

Today we have a preview of a new job we're starting in Bethany Beach. John gives us an overview of the project in this walk through and the flooring from Carlisle Wide Plank Floors has been delivered and is ready to go. We'll be back with some updates as we get started!
