The Redstone team is heading to the MACP 2026 Summer Professional Development Conference! 🏛👮

This is where Michigan's law enforcement leaders and designers come together to discuss the latest technology, design strategies, and law enforcement safety and security protocols. As architects specializing in law enforcement and public safety design, we attend events like this to stay connected to our clientele, understand their evolving needs, and bring those insights back to every project we take on.

📍 Join us June 21–24 at Shanty Creek Resort, https://www.michiganpolicechiefs.org/

Redstone Architects was honored to join Neighbors United and our local firefighters and their families in the Walk for the Red at River Bends Park in Shelby Township.

Our very own project designers, Theresa Kraft and Natalie Wilson, were two of roughly two hundred runners and walkers to participate.

To recap, the Walk for the Red is a fundraising run/walk event organized by Neighbors United, a 501c charity dedicated to supporting firefighting families and raising awareness of cancer directly related to carcinogens firefighters face in the line of duty.
Shelby Township’s firefighter/paramedic and board member and Macomb County Liaison for Neighbors United, Brendan Riggs, spoke of the importance of firefighters’ sacrifices and the need for support from the community.

As Riggs so eloquently relayed in his speech, firefighters are dying to save you, and they will not stop saving you.

We, as public safety consultants, are committed to doing our part to prevent occupational cancer in firefighters by incorporating design strategies and advising decontamination procedures to reduce carcinogens. Let us together stand with our firefighters and their families in their fight against cancer.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our ACE Mentorship Program Extern, Chylar Williams!

Chylar was one of many high school students in the ACE Mentorship 2026 Program, who is excited to explore architecture and the construction industry. For these next two weeks, she will be learning about architecture from a small, specialized architecture firm. During this externship, she will be shadowing all our talented staff, participating in daily tasks for projects, and working on current projects as they arise.

We are honored to be part of her exploration into this career.

Redstone Architects is walking for the Red.

Walk for the Red is a run/walk event held in Macomb County, MI and is dedicated to raising money for our local firefighting heroes battling cancer.

As public safety designers, we are thrilled to take part in this opportunity, in addition to our work, to help our local community of firefighters. During these past 30+ years, we have designed and planned for many fire stations across the country and in Michigan, including Macomb County. We are proud to serve our communities, even long after the project or study is completed.

Please join us Sunday, June 14th to give our first responders a helping hand against cancer by visiting this link to register and/or donate. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to Theresa Kraft on celebrating one year at Redstone! Theresa joined our team last May as an Intern and has already accomplished so much in her first year. Since then, she graduated from University of Detroit Mercy with her bachelor’s degree in architecture and has been promoted to Project Designer.

Theresa’s creativity, hard work, and passion for graphic design and architecture have made a lasting impact on our team.

We are so grateful to have Theresa on the Redstone team and look forward to seeing all she accomplishes in the years ahead!

This week is National Police Week.

Thank you to our law enforcement personnel for everything you do to keep us safe!

As law enforcement and public safety consultants, we design police stations and public safety buildings with security, safety, and ease of use in mind. Our firm principal aptly summarizes our key design objectives for every police and public safety department.

“Security is really the paramount design focus. Everything else is secondary to security for the officers and civilian support staff within a law enforcement building.” – Daniel Redstone

We are honored to provide informed design guidance to police departments and their local architects across the nation.

If your law enforcement department could use our experience, visit our website https://www.redstonearchitects.com/ and contact us. We’d be happy to serve you.

The architect must be a positive force in creating surroundings that enhance and fulfill all human needs, in which the arts become an integral part of man's daily environment."

~ Louis G. Redstone

A little over a hundred years ago, Louis G. Redstone, FAIA, then a young man from Grodno, Russia dared to dream for a career in architecture and moved to Detroit, MI to study at the University of Michigan. This pivotal decision set the groundwork for a nearly 90-year-old legacy, which lives on in his son and our firm principal, Daniel Redstone, FAIA.

For a peek into our firm’s journey from its first moments to its last buildings under Louis G. Redstone’s leadership, watch our video below on our firm’s history.
