At the center of Leila, an expansive bar anchors the main dining level. A custom mosaic floor and illuminated ornamental screen draw from patterns found in Middle Eastern architecture, reinterpreted through a contemporary palette of steel, glass, stone, and warm metals.

Set within the restored historic Farwell Building in Capitol Park, the design balances old and new while creating a distinct setting for Leila’s modern expression of Lebanese hospitality.

Set within a wooded landscape, this Prairie Style residence is defined by strong horizontal lines and a natural material palette that connects the architecture to its site.

A rock faced stone base grounds the home, while cedar siding, limestone, deep overhangs, and low masonry walls carry the architecture into the landscape, creating a series of distinct outdoor spaces.

Drawing from the tradition of European garden architecture, this fully functioning conservatory was designed as an extension of the residence and a distinctive space for living and entertaining.

Expansive glazing and classical proportions create an immersive connection to the surrounding gardens, while the architecture remains carefully integrated with the character of the main house.

Some restaurants become part of a community's story.

For 55 years, Phoenicia Restaurant has built a legacy of hospitality. Since opening its Birmingham location in 1982, it has been a place where generations have gathered to celebrate milestones, reconnect with friends, and share meals with family.

Our renovation sought to honor that legacy by creating a warm, inviting setting that respected the restaurant's character while preparing it for the future. More recently, we were honored to return to design a private dining room addition and renovate the kitchen, continuing the evolution of a place that has become a Birmingham institution.
