There’s something really fascinating about working on older homes — especially one built in 1919 🏠

Today’s Behind the Build takes us into demo day on this full kitchen renovation, where Joey is carefully removing the original plaster and lath wall system commonly used in homes from this era. It’s messy, time-consuming, and definitely not your standard drywall demo… but it’s also a cool reminder of the craftsmanship and building methods from over 100 years ago!

This old Sears four square kit house has so much character, and we’re excited to help bring this kitchen into its next chapter while respecting the history behind it. Stay tuned — this transformation is going to be a fun one to follow! 👀

We’re wrapping up this beautiful Sunspace 3-season room project in Blacksburg and it’s always exciting when a project reaches the stage where homeowners can finally start picturing themselves enjoying the space 😎

New project kickoff in Pembroke! 🛠️ We’re officially underway on a kitchen renovation inside a beautiful old Sears Four Square home — and we can already tell this one is going to be special 🤩

This kitchen is being completely reimagined for homeowners who truly love to cook, gather, and entertain. While demo day can look a little chaotic, it’s also the beginning of creating a space that will function beautifully for the way this couple actually lives.

One of our favorite parts of projects like this is blending the charm and character of an older home with the comfort and functionality of modern living.
