Dyes are affixed to wool with mordants. They allow the colors to bond to the fiber. Pet accidents, improper cleaning products, too much heat as well as poor wool processing can loosen the mordants causing dyes to bleed into other colors. Proper rinsing, and dye correction process can be used to prevent or correct this common challenge.
