I promised one of my encouraging friends that I would post a video of my garden. I hope y’all see all the pretty I see and enjoy it. It’s by no means perfect or the prettiest but I love to share it.

Since I've updated my photos and bio, I thought now might be a good time to tell you a little story about my how and my why.
First, welcome to Bamma's Backyard Blooms! 💜
Now for the "how."
People often ask how I got the name Bamma.
Twenty years ago, my first grandson couldn't quite say Grandma. Instead, he called me Bamma, and the name stuck.
What started as a nickname became part of who I am and eventually became the name of this garden.
As for my "why."
I've always enjoyed yard work, but my son introduced me to gardening. At first it was a way to hangout with him but before long his joy rubbed off on me and I was hooked. So when a difficult season in my life happened the garden taught me so many things but this is the most important lesson: everything God created has beauty and a purpose—even me.
I enjoy getting dirty and making old and odd things pretty but what I love most is creating moments where others can make wonderful memories.
A quiet place to sit.
Conversations shared with friends.
Time spent with family.
Celebrating special days.
A chance to slow down and enjoy God's beautiful creation.
My hope is that everyone who visits this page—or the garden itself—finds a little joy, sees a little beauty, and makes a wonderful memory.

Good Morning 😊. Looking at these photos, it’s hard to believe.

Last April, there was a lot of hope, a lot of work, and not many blooms.

Today, the garden is overflowing.

The flowers are beautiful, but so much of what made them possible happened during the waiting.

Waiting can be hard. Aggravating. Sometimes even a little exciting.

But oh, when the waiting is over and you finally see the result… that’s a special kind of joy. 💜😊

The waiting makes the blooms sweeter, the colors brighter, and all that hard work worth it.

Maybe that’s true for more than just gardens.

Maybe some of the most beautiful things in life are growing during the waiting, even when we can’t see them yet.

Y’all, don’t give up while you’re in the growing season.

There may be more blooming than you realize. 💜🌸
