Things I’ve Learned About People Through Cleaning

Cleaning teaches you things about people that have nothing to do with mess.

I’ve learned that:
• A messy house is often grief, depression, overwhelm, not laziness
• The cleanest homes can belong to the most anxious people
• Bathrooms tell stories no one wants to say out loud
• Kindness shows up in the smallest details like leaving water out for me

This job has made me more compassionate, not more judgmental.
And I carry that into every home I step into.
