I have noticed a lot of dry lawns lately. As we approach fall, it is still very important to water in the absence of rain. Cool season grasses are being replanted and warm season grasses are, hopefully, being treated with fall pre emergent herbicides. These products must be watered in to be effective. If you do not want annual bluegrass in the spring, you must water in the pre emergent in the fall. Please call our office if we can be any help with your watering schedule.

**DONT MURDER CREPE MYRTLES**
-Natural Beauty: Crepe myrtle trees have a graceful, natural form that can be disrupted by excessive pruning.
- Flowering Potential: Over-pruning can diminish the tree's ability to produce flowers, reducing its aesthetic appeal.
- Stress Reduction: Pruning can stress the tree, making it more susceptible to diseases and pests.
- Growth Patterns: Crepe myrtles have their own growth patterns and pruning can interfere with their natural growth rhythm.
- Structural Integrity: Excessive pruning can weaken the tree's structure, making it more prone to breakage during storms or high winds.
- Wildlife Habitat: Unpruned crepe myrtles provide habitat and food for wildlife such as birds and insects, contributing to biodiversity.
- Longevity: Properly maintained crepe myrtles can live for decades, but excessive pruning can shorten their lifespan.
- Maintenance Reduction: Allowing the tree to grow naturally reduces the need for frequent pruning and maintenance.
- Seasonal Interest: Crepe myrtles have attractive bark and form even in the winter months, which can be diminished by excessive pruning.
