Boise Neighborhood Interactive is one of my favorite events by the City of Boise every year, and this year I’m not presenting - I get to be an attendee. Grateful for a city with amazing neighborhoods, planned for growth and accommodation of people of all kinds. ❤️

Issei Memorial Wall, Minidoka National Historic Site. The names of 4,300 immigrant-generation Japanese that were incarcerated at Minidoka during WWII are memorialized in this exhibit. Look for this along with the interpretive exhibit, "Issei: A Legacy of Courage" when you visit next spring during their grand public opening. We're also working on some additional exhibits and a retail space to complete the visitor's center.

It has been such an honor and privilege to work with Friends of Minidoka and the National Park Service on this important and long-overdue history.

Folks, 2019 is the year of the shed. This year, we will be exploring what is means to live and work inside a space less than 120 square feet. Idaho artist, James Castle lived and worked in this small structure for decades and produced some of the most thoughtful, enigmatic, and iconic works ever created by an American artist. Stay tuned for exciting news and events related to the James Castle Shed.

Protecting the architectural integrity of your home is of utmost importance when planning a remodel or addition. Equally, planning a traditionally-styled new home requires a careful coordination of form, materials, and detailing to ensure a successful design. Your home, and the neighborhood that surrounds it, is a part of Idaho’s collective culture. The preservation of Idaho’s singular places is central to my architectural practice. Whatever your consultation needs are, I am here to help. I offer on-site consultations in one, two, and three-hour blocks, every Tuesday and Thursday. We can discuss new homes, existing homes, and everything in between. Inquiries and bookings can be made through Messenger, or on my website: www.byronfolwell.com
