While we are getting ready to transplant wonderful things to our Garden this weekend. I want to share some exciting things we are doing.

We recently have invested in some chickens. While you dont want chickens to be in your garden running around. You do want chickens to make a wonderful organic compost/manure. This in the long run for us will be cost efficient. While any vegetable waste in the garden can go to the chickens in return the chicken waste then helps fertilize the garden. It also doesn't hurt to have fresh eggs.

Remember before using any fertilizer/manure of any type please test your soil. While you don't have to test your soil it is recommended unless you are a very seasonal Gardening person!

Welcome to Grace and Billy’s Garden Page!!

Grandma Grace and my Grandpa Billy were a true love story. It started when my Grandpa was just a young man living in Bennington, Oklahoma. He cared a lot about Grandma Grace. He walked from Bennington, Oklahoma to Boswell, Oklahoma just to hold her hand. When he had gotten there. Grace's daddy wouldn't let them hold hands.

Shortly after this My Grandpa joined the Military. He met my Grandma Lucille in the military. They got married and had four children, one of which my Grandpa adopted and loved as his own.

My Grandma Lucille passed away in 2000. Before my Grandma passed away she and My Grandpa talked. She told him that she knew he cared a lot about Grace and it was ok. That he deserved to be happy and deserved a good woman. She thought alot about Grace.

Few years passed and in 2003 he moved right next door to Grandma Grace. They shared a love for God, family and the garden. Anyone who came to visit didn't leave with a empty stomach. Grandma Grace would always feed everyone. She loved to take her Grandkids and little children and show them the garden.They were both known to share what they grew in their garden.

Grandma Grace Passed away August 2021. After her passing my Grandpa had a dream to open a big Garden up to the public in her honor. He didn't have a chance to complete this dream as he passed shortly after her. Passing in December of 2021.

We have decided to fulfill his dream and open the Garden up to those in need. This year we plan to have both in ground and above ground. We will be giving the extra produce we don't need to elderly and families in need of food. This will be on a first come first serve basis! Keep an eye out for available produce as it won't last long when available!!

The last two days of picking have been decent. Please remember if you or someone of elder age are in need of fresh vegetables to pm the page!! This is free to those who need it and can't afford it. Elders who can't drive please let us know so we can arrange for it to be delivered within a 20 min drive from Bokchito!!! We pick daily so quantity depends on what we pick that day.
