As a late season strategy, as the tomato harvests wane, I have been making salsa bags for the freezer from peppers, and peeled and cored tomatoes. This winter, I can process one of these with onions and seasonings for a fresh batch of salsa!

Stir fried late summer vegetables (noodle beans, onions, chard stalks, eggplant, squash, carrot, and beets, beet greens, cherry tomatoes, jalapeño, & shish*to) with chicken breast, red Thai curry seasoning, olive oil, and basil, nested in baby cabbage leaves, with a slice of banana bread and butter. Yum! Plenty left for lunch tomorrow.

Harvesting and cooking from a small kitchen garden is a lot like the tv show where contestants are given a basket of ingredients and have to make a tasty dish. This looks like a Thai basket to me. What would you make with these ingredients?

Nice photo!

I'm sure everyone is getting tired of seeing Praying Mantis pictures and videos on my timeliness. But, I have a secret for you....I don't care. 🤣

Of course I care about you all, but I just love this time of year. Watching them grow makes me happy. The females are getting chunky, which means it will soon be time for them to make nest full of next year's babies!

So stay tuned because we aren't done yet! 😉
