We were down at El Ranchero in Spruce Pine yesterday with our CFESA master Tec, Chip Norwood finishing up and getting them ready to open in about 3 weeks. This restaurant had about 7’ of water during Helene a year and a half ago and it’s good seeing them finally getting close to opening. They even have a guy here from California painting some fantastic murals on the walls. Can’t wait to go in with family for dinner.

The NCA team and Chip Norwood installed a triple stack XLT pizza oven in Granite Falls Little Caesars and we finished it today after Mike the local electrician got the hood fans wired to the control box attached to the XLT Hood. The electrician even got to test the oven, notice Mikes channel lock pan lifter.

I attended the Scotsman Ice machine service training class in Fairfax, SC. The training was excellent, complemented by a comprehensive factory tour. It's always enlightening to observe the manufacturing process of commercial equipment from inception to completion. Additionally, it was interesting to note the measures in place to monitor employee productivity and training, aimed at minimizing leaks. Notably, every Scotsman ice machine undergoes inspection and is tested to produce ice before being packaged, labeled, and shipped. Training helps us better prepare to take care of your ice machine!

Feb 2nd and we don’t let a little snow keep us from doing our jobs. 10 degrees outside at 10:00 AM. Installing equipment in a new upstairs bar.

I have been clearing our parking lot at the office with our 4WD telehandler we normally use it with forks for unloading equipment at customers job site, however you can change out the forks for a bucket using a skid steer quick change attachment. It’s taken a better part of the week to get the ice to soften up enough so we could get the parking lot cleaned up (2 degree nights slows down melting) just in time for the up coming snow storm to start tomorrow. Stay safe and warm this weekend but rest assured we are able to respond in bad weather; our 4WD service trucks also have tire chains with ice cleats for those frozen roads.

The rental trailer is set up once again helping a local hotel/banquet hall who is having a walk in cooler issues. Been a busy summer for the trailers.

Check out the organization and stocking on our new van. We have the largest Commercial Appliance and Refrigeration parts inventory in the high country. All our technicians are CFESA certified and Factory trained. When you see us coming down the road there’s a good chance the part is on the truck. Serving Banner Elk/Boone and all the High Country 24 hours a day.

Both trailers are out rented while we do a walk in cooler replacement. The old building with 40+ year old walkins has been torn down and being rebuilt and will soon have 3 new Bally walk- ins installed
