Located in the scenic valley of Borden (in Southern Indiana), Al’s Woodcraft was established in 1982 by Albert Hunt and his son Jeff. Since its inception, Al’s Woodcraft has been producing a wide variety of wood products for major manufacturing concerns. Scenic Valley Wood Products is the division of Al’s Woodcraft that produces cabinet components. In 2001, Scenic Valley produced its first Raised

Panel Door and now produces a wide variety of products used in cabinet manufacturing. Scenic Valley has established itself as a leader in the production of components for the cabinet industry. Our valances are used across the nation by industry leaders to enhance the look and style of kitchens they produce.

Business update: On November 30th, Al's Woodcraft will be officially closing.

During the closing process, we will be sharing several different items for sale including lumber and machinery.

Today marks the beginning of our 43rd year in business. To all of our customers and friends-thank you so much for all of your support over the years!

But, now it’s time to retire. We couldn’t be more ready for this season of life!

We are looking to sell the business, so if you or someone you know might have interest, please contact us for further details.

**Just to clarify, Al’s is currently still in operation, but we have begun the transition to retirement process.**

We continue to be extremely busy and are in need of reliable, hard workers to join us at Al’s Woodcraft. Full and part time positions are available.

Full time:
-A minimum of 40 hours of work per week
-Benefits that include health insurance, paid holidays,
and PTO after 90 days

Part-time:
-Flexible hours tbd
-This would be an ideal opportunity for retirees who want part-time work or moms who need to work around school schedules!

Responsibilities will include prepping and sanding doors, building doors, and assisting with running parts on various types woodworking equipment. We will be glad to train the right candidate!!

In 1982, Ronald Reagan was president, gasoline was $1.22/gallon, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album was released, the first CD player sold in Japan, Epcot opened, the Smiley was first used to express emotion in an email, and Al’s Woodcraft went into business. A lot has changed in 39 years, and we’re looking forward to what our 40th will bring. Feeling thankful!
