I found heaven y'all!!! I can't believe I didn't know about this nursery!! between Stephenville and Dublin out past the Chicken House Flea Market. They have 4 greenhouse packed full of beautiful plants plus more outside. I thought their prices were very reasonable, tomatoes plants $1, the string of pearls and string of tears were $3 each! I got a big beautiful banana tree for $30. That's amazing and they are healthy established plants. I will be going there again for sure!

The girls... I know I'm a crazy cow lady. We have a beef herd and I do like a couple of them but they are just pasture cows. These are by pet/milk cows 🤣 they are the ones I see everyday and they all have their own personality and looks. Peach is my heifer soon to be milk cow and shes is very inquisitive and an escape artist. Clove is on temporary loan, shes the biggest girl but the other little girls push her around, she a wonderful milk cows and never kicks but doesnt like to be petted. Ginger is the old lady, she rules the barnyard and hates the hotwire so she never escapes 🤣.

The baby is less then pleased this week, hes teething and got shots Monday. But the cow still needs milked, chickens need tended, plants need watered. So he gets tied on and we can sweat on each other but this is the only way hes is happy. Farm life doesnt stop, you gotta keep on moving. The four year old took pictures while we milked today.

I keep asking her when shes going to calve. She said it's a secret. I hope she has another month but we will see... 😬🤔🤫

I love my goofy little cows and my goofy little kids. I'm glad the life we lead has changed very little under the current circumstances in the world. We milk a cow, feed some chickens, pick up eggs, pick some vegetables, water gardens, take a swim, cook food and repeat tomorrow. It may seem boring but this boy doesnt seem too bored. In an uncertain world I'm glad I'm able to give my children a safe and stable childhood.

It's a busy busy time here on the farm!! The garden got moved to a new location away from the chickens so the trellis tunnel got moved and expanded today! Onions are ready to go in the ground as soon as the fence gets put up, and pots came in the mail so tomatoes and peppers will be started soon!! Garden season is here!!
