With the new year here, lots of exciting new changes are coming to Uvida Shop! In 2023, our biggest highlight was receiving the incredible S.P.A.C.E. Grant from the city of Boston. This grant is an amazing opportunity for Uvida as it practically fully funds a brand-new Boston location for a few years. Since being awarded this grant, we have been on the search for our new space and are so excited to announce we will be opening our new store in the North End! We decided to reopen in the neighborhood where it all began 💚🏙️

Unfortunately, our Brookline lease is coming to an end this month and we have decided not to renew it. While we wish we could keep both stores open, we know it’s best for the business and for our customers if we put all our energy into making one storefront the best zero waste shop and refillery it can be!

Our Brookline store is set to close at the end of the day tomorrow (Sunday, January 28th) so we can have some time to pack the store up and move into our new North End space.

We’re going to miss our beautiful little Brookline store and the amazing zero-waste community we’ve built here, but rest assured that we’re not going far! In addition to the new Boston storefront, we’re offering free shipping for life to all our Brookline customers (DM us if you’re missing that code) and we’ll continue to do pop-ups in Brookline and its surrounding neighborhoods! Along with always having our online website available for customers across the U.S. 🌎

If you are able to visit our Brooklines store one last time, we are currently offering a 15% OFF sale on all plants, and second-hand items, as well as 15% OFF on select refills and plastic-free products through the end of the day Sunday. Shop in-store or online (code: BLMOVING) 🛒🪴

🏆 40 under 40 🏆

We are SO incredibly honored to be one of the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 honorees! This is definitely a surreal moment for us as a small team working to make a HUGE impact in Boston and beyond. 🌎

I want to personally thank my family, friends, and community for supporting me through the ups and downs of building a start-up business. I work hard every day to build this business, but I wouldn’t be able to do it without the genuine love and support of the people around me. 💚

I also want to thank our AMAZING and INCREDIBLE customers! I know we say it every time, but zero waste is all about community and we wouldn’t be here without each customer who’s supported Uvida over the past three years. Whether you physically shop in the store with us, shop online (we love packing your orders!), or are one of our many supporters who cheer us on and share our plastic-free mission with others. It's Plastic Free July! This month-long challenge encourages everyone to cut single-use plastics out of their daily lives. ♻ Why's that so important? One of the MANY reasons are microplastics.
