It’s been a while since I’ve posted some of the designs we’ve been working on at Dare to Dream Designs. Busy busy! Thought I’d share a few today while I had a minute… Here are before and after photos of a space that used to be a bit dark and dated. By bringing some color to the ceiling, the eye now goes up and the room no longer feels like a cave. The german schmear on the stone fireplace made all the difference. Thank you for ALWAYS doing beautiful work! The new concrete table and chairs by RH worked out perfectly. The homeowners wanted a place to play cards/ poker with the adults or legos and puzzles with the kids. I think we accomplished that by making this room both functional & beautiful. Onto the next space!

This was a loft space that needed quite a bit of loving. The entire area was completely overlooked and not used. The homeowner had no idea what to do with it... so... this was the result. Well, I fell in love with the entire space and knew it had to be transformed. By highlighting the beams with a dark, contrasting color to the current soft white walls, it’s now one of the most beautiful rooms in this old home. It goes back to how color can completely change the look and feel of a space. To be able to breathe new life into an old home is so incredibly rewarding. You don’t always have to up and move to find what you’re looking for. Sometimes you can fall in love with your home all over again. ❤️

We’ve been busy working on so many different types of projects and spaces. Here is a before and after of a sunroom that was dreary, overlooked and never used. It is now a bright, sunny space that the owner loves. We do too! What rooms are you not using or ignored that could use a facelift??? I am now offering edesign services as well. When greiges, creams, and whites make everything right. ☺️ For this home that has now been updated and staged to sell, we gave the fireplace a much needed facelift with a beautiful stone for a fresh new look, used Sea Salt by Benjamin Moore on the walls, added a cream slip cover to a very worn sofa and some simple accessories to tie the room all together. It may be a dreary day outside, but with this new space in place, being inside doesn’t feel so bad. Stay safe everyone. ❤️
